F ollowing the adjustments of last season’s traffic management plan, we’re pleased that the new system has proved successful. Parking can enhance or hinder the enjoyment of your racing experience and we strive to improve all aspects of this. With free coach parking and increased parking spaces for coaches, you can benefit from minimal stress typically associated with organising a group and travel. We have an excellent relationship with Stagecoach, with whom we have partnered to provide transport to and from Cheltenham Spa train station for just £5 return. In addition National Express provides a range of national pick-up points to and from The Festival which are exceptionally cost-effective. With up to 10,000 cars parked a day during some of our larger fixtures, we were proud that our car parks were running clear just 38 minutes after the last race of Gold Cup Day 2017, a record unparalleled by previous years. Customer feedback is very important to us, and as such we advise against following your sat nav’s suggested route. We have found that racegoers are being directed to travel on roads that are closed provided by Cheltenham Borough Council. Members of Cheltenham Racecourse are allocated spaces in the Red car parks and need to follow the Red route signage to the racecourse. during racing fixtures and as such it is advisable to follow the redirect signs
