If you are new to our program, we look forward to showing you what we have to offer. With Beef demand at an all-time high and inventory at an all-time low it is a great time to be in the cow calf business. We as ranchers have spent years increasing the quality of the cattle we raise to give our consumers a great eating experience. That dedication and work are being rewarded. We want to be the place where you can be confident you are getting a superior bull backed by a ranch that will stand behind them. Nelson Angus will be offering 40 yearling and 2 two-year-old bulls on April 4. These bulls have not had any creep feed and have been developed in a way for them
to grow and mature. We believe this will make a bull that will go and work for you. The two-year-olds have already passed their semen test and are ready to go to work. The yearling bulls will be semen tested later in April, prior to delivery. Along with the 25 commercial yearling Angus heifers we will be offering an elite group of 25 F1-Baldy heifers. The Baldy heifers are out of our registered cow herd and registered Hereford bulls. This is truly a unique opportunity to capitalize on the years we have put into building our genetic base. We put a Hereford bull with the registered cows as soon as we AI them. The result was a beautiful set of replacement heifers. These heifers have been hand-picked for disposition and maternal ability. The F1 baldies are truly a powerful set of heifers that are going to mature into a big set of brood cows. The Angus heifers have a real feminine maternal look to them. The heifers are checked open and breedable and have had their Preg-guard shot and are ready for turn out. If you are looking for straight Angus or F1 Baldies look no further. Our 22nd production sale will be broadcast by DVAuction. If you want to bid via DVAuction you will have to get registered before the sale or call me and we will assist you in any way we can. Breeding season is defined as the first 90 day period following first turnout of bulls. If a problem occurs, I will bring you a replacement if one is available, or you will receive full credit, minus the salvage value of the original bull, toward another purchase. Nelson Angus is not liable for any more than the purchase price of the bull.
2 | NELSON ANGUS 22ND ANNUAL PRODUCTION SALE Genetic Defects: Any bull with a chance of being a carrier for any genetic defect that keeps them from registration such as, NH, OS, AM, or CA have been tested Negative, unless stated otherwise. Testing was done by AGI . Herd Health: The bulls are poured with Clean Up II, will be vaccinated for vibro, lepto, foot rot, and pinkeye at semen test time. Semen test will be done on the yearling bulls in late April. 2yr old bulls have already passed semen test & are ready to breed. The cow herd is annualy vaccinated with Preg-guard and poured with Clean Up II. Carcass Information: Dr. Eric Knock of the Miller Vet Clinic did my ultrasound work. Volume Discounts: Volume discounts to an individual will be offered starting at 3 bulls = 3% and increasing 1% for each additional bull up to 10 bulls with 10% maximum discount. Discount applies only to bulls that sell for at least $4,000. Delivery: Free delivery in SD and adjoining states on bulls. Supper: A complimentary beef supper will be served starting at 6:00 pm Terms & Conditions; The terms of the sale are cash and all settlements must be made at the close of the auction. All cattle will sell according to the terms and conditions of the American Angus Association.
