for us. We talk a great deal about love today. Sometimes I am fearful that people do not always know what real love is all about. It is certainly far more than just sex, or of even just living together. True love can only come from Cod. It was this "agape" love which sent the Sav­ iour into the world (John 3:16). He came to this earth with such a demonstration of love for you and me that He was willing to live and to die that we might go to heaven with Him for all eternity. There is no love like this anywhere in the world. People need to be won to Jesus Christ through His love or they are eternally lost without Him forever. This portion of Philippians is what is known as the great "ken- osis" passage of the New Testa-

There is no greater picture of humility, obedience and subserv­ ience to the Lord than that de­ scribed for us in Philippians 2:5-11. Here, inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul speaks some of the most elo­ quent words ever given to describe our Saviour's incarnation in the form of man. His complete pre­ eminence is seen as His life on earth is traced from birth to death, to coming again in power, majes­ ty and glory. Jesus, while being virgin-born, had always been in the form of Cod. He was co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father. Every attribute and virtue of God one could possibly name is also true with Christ. He left behind all of His glories that He might come down to this world to die
