I remember sleeping in bed Tuesday August 30st, and a little after midnight my wife stated, “ We are going to Porter Hospital, the baby is not moving.” So we rushed to the ER and I was extremely nervous, as she was 40 weeks and 3 days. We arrive at the hospital and my wife is examined and the baby was asleep. The doctor wanted her to stay overnight for observation and the baby appeared to be doing well. The next morning the doctors ordered for her to be induced at 9am, and 15 hours later my wife gave birth on 9/1/2016 at 12:27 am. The actual birth lasted for 1 hour and 30min. When I first saw him I was in so much joy and happiness I really cannot describe. We ended up staying at Porter hospital for five days total and arrived home Saturday morning. It feels great to be a first time dad and our lives have completely changed of course since he arrived home with limited sleep, a lot of laundry, and endless love! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lucio... welcome to the world, Nathan Joseph!
