Craft Corner with Chelsea – Glass Gem Magnets Hills Bank in Iowa City (1401 S Gilbert St) Thursday, January 30, 2:00 p.m.
Join Chelsea Marsengill, Friends Club Coordinator, as she shows us how to make glass gem magnets that are sure to “stick around” forever. Each participant will make a set of four magnets and are welcome to bring their own craft paper from home if there is a certain pattern or design they like. All craft supplies will be provided. Rock Art Class DKW Gallery & Art Studio (840 7th Ave, Marion) Friday, January 31, 2:00 p.m.
Taking rocks and creating little pictures with them is a great way to stretch your imagination. To see a face or a tail in the shape of a rock is not only satisfying but also relaxing. You will have your choice of rocks supplied by our teacher Cindy. She will lead the class on how to create one of these little gems to call your own. Have fun conveying love or a memory with your rock art. Cost per person is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
