Fort Worth Police Department Strategic Plan
for a combined Central Patrol Division and moving the investigative units requiring relocation from 350 W. Belknap into one centralized facility. One prominent objective over the next five years is to expand the Downtown Bike Unit to a size that enables officers to cover expanded divisional boundaries. These units have been so effective they (and Mounted Patrol Units) received commendatory letters for their participation in the 2016 Republican National Convention, Downtown protests, and received national recognition as a highly trained and capable enforcement unit.
