Fleet / Auto Pound Division The Fleet / Auto Pound Division is responsible for the department’s vehicle and bulk storage impound lot and vehicle fleet. The division is led by a civilian manager and is divided into the following two sections.  Fleet Services is responsible for the FWPD’s 1,250 various police vehicles. This includes marked police cars, unmarked police cars, motorcycles, undercover and specialty vehicles. Funding for the fleet is provided by the CCPD. Fleet Services staff is responsible for the purchase, equipment and equipment installation, vehicle fuel, and disposition of all vehicles. The section is staffed with one administrative supervisor, one administrative support assistant, one crew leader, and five electronic technicians.  The Vehicle Impound section is responsible for the department’s vehicle impound yard. The yard is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week and is broken into three working shifts. The Auto Impound yard stores all vehicles towed or seized by the FWPD as well as large property seized or recovered by the department that is too large for storage in the Property/Evidence section’s facility.
