We would then arrange guided tours, purchase of tickets and payment of entrance fees on your behalf. We are always happy to provide you with a bespoke solution for your tour programme. Additional Hotels We only have room in the brochure to feature some of our hotels. We have reserved space at many more. Call us for more information. Overnight Hotels We understand that a successful tour is not just about the mainstay and that the hotels your passengers stay at along the way are a very important start and end to the tour. We have a great selection of hotels in excellent locations to suit all tastes and budgets. If you would like overnights adding to any of your UK & Ireland tours, please give our Sales Team a call. Low Emissions Zones & Access Regulation We cannot be held liable for any penalties, tickets or charges that come from entry into towns and cities with low emission zones and/or access regulations. New zones are regularly being introduced into towns and cities across Europe. Please check before costing and operating your tour. For more information on driving in London please visit: https://tfl.gov.uk/ modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone Drivers Hours Our itineraries are created with drivers’ regulations in mind, under EU rules Regulation 561/2006, and look to comply with daily driving, break and rest requirements. For some of our longer European itineraries, a driver’s day off has not always been incorporated as they can be operated under the 12-day rule. However we are happy to amend the itinerary to allow for a driver’s day off or arrange local hire if you require it.

We do the hard work, so you don't have to...

V VALUE HOTEL

VALUE HOTELS

COLLECTION HOTELS

If a hotel is described as a ‘Value’ product, it will be very competitively priced and may not offer as many additional services as our standard products, such as a welcome drink, porterage or a choice of menu. The bedrooms and public areas may also be very simply furnished and this is reflected in the price. However, the standards of group-friendliness, cleanliness and quality of customer service should be no different to those at our ‘standard’ hotels.

Our selected range of Albatross Collection hotels are considered by our team, to provide something extra special to your customers, over and above the norm for either 3 or 4 star hotels.

Look out for...

MIX & MATCH

UPDATED TOUR

STANDARD HOTELS

All of our hotels are individually selected for their high standards of group-friendliness, cleanliness and quality of customer service . These attributes are essential requirements for all our products. The majority of our hotels also provide porterage and some provide a welcome drink as ‘standard’. In terms of access, the majority of our hotels also either have ground floor bedrooms or lift access . On the few occasions where this is not the case, we will make this clear in our hotel description.

Our Contract Managers don't sit on their laurels, they're always on the look out for new ideas or places to visit and how to enhance the excellent relationships we have built up with suppliers. To make it easier for you to find, we have devised the logos above. The first two speak for themselves, whilst 'Mix &Match' means that itineraries and hotels are inter-changeable, giving you flexibility and choice.

Albert Dock

City Breaks – Liverpool “Hot town, summer in the city” Not just famous for The Beatles and its music heritage, ever popular Liverpool also has the largest collection of museums and galleries in the UK outside of London. With so many attractions and four fantastic hotels to choose from, you can select the best options to suit your groups! Take advantage of the amazingly great value summer packages “Summer in the city” in the months of July and August including a Liverpool bay cruise.

WHAT TO DO Mersey Ferries

Cavern Club The Beatles played at the Cavern Club nearly 300 times, helping to make it become the most famous live music venue in the world. Museums & Galleries The Museum of Liverpool is the world’s first national museum devoted to the history of a regional city and the largest newly-built national museum in Britain for more than a century. A great bonus is free of charge entry! Merseyside Maritime Museum delves into the historic seafaring past of the Albert Dock port. Tate Liverpool is home to the National Collection of Modern Art in the north, with the gallery staging a changing programme of special exhibitions throughout the year.

The famous Mersey ferries are a great way to see the Liverpool skyline, cruising to Gerry & the Pacemakers’ famous “Ferry Cross the Mersey”! Stop off at the award winning U-Boat Story for a fascinating insight into a World War II German submarine. Alternatively, enjoy a summer evening cruise – a two hour cruise featuring live music, a bar and spectacular views of the world heritage Waterfront. Liverpool Bay Cruise – as featured with The Richmond Hotel & Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower This three hour cruise on the deck of an iconic Mersey Ferry is the perfect way to experience the incredible scenery as we sail into Liverpool Bay. Our sightseeing offers up amazing panoramic views of this famous river as we sail past Royal Seaforth Docks, Fort Perch Rock and along the Crosby Channel with a highlight being the sight of Anthony Gormley’s cast-iron figures in his ‘Another Place’ art installation at Crosby beach. We enjoy expert commentary from a Blue Badge Guide, ensuring the history and geography is brought to life, before returning to Liverpool, following a much sailed path of cruise liners past and present. A fully licensed bar is open for the duration of our cruise. Available on selected dates only. Albert Dock Forming part of the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront Site, the Albert Dock is one of the country’s top heritage attractions, boasting museums, galleries, restaurants and bars. The Beatles Story is a huge draw for “Fab Four” fans and provides a fascinating insight into the life and times of the Beatles. Tate Liverpool stages international exhibitions of the best in modern art. A 2 hour Magical Mystery Tour also leaves from the Albert Dock and journeys around places connected to the Beatles, including Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. The National Trust also runs tours to Mendips and 20 Forthlin Road , Lennon and McCartney’s childhood homes. Royal Liver Building Liverpool’s most iconic landmark is home to a brand new attraction – the Royal Liver Building 360 . A unique tower tour, the attraction will include a new lower ground floor visitor centre, a visit to the 10th and 15th floors where spectacular views of the Liverpool and Wirral skyline can be had and a world-class digital show inside the iconic clock tower (several steps are involved). Shopping Liverpool is a shopper’s paradise and visitors are spoilt for choice at the gleaming new city centre shopping mall, Liverpool One . There are also boutique arcades, independent stores and the recently opened Liverpool shopping park , one of the UK’s biggest retail and leisure destinations a few miles out of the city centre. NEW! Strawberry Field Strawberry Field has a special place in Liverpool’s history. Donated to The Salvation Army, its large Victorian house was a home for the city’s most vulnerable children from 1936 until it finally closed its doors in 2005. It was during its time as a children’s home that John Lennon would play in the grounds and visit the annual summer garden party. And of course, it was the inspiration for the 1967 Beatles’ song, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’. 50 years since the release of that famous song, the doors to Strawberry Field are open once again. Follow in the footsteps of the Beatles and visit this authentic exhibition dedicated to the story of the place, the song and Lennon’s early life.

At Albatross Travel, we pride ourselves on the knowledge and experience of our Contract Managers and their understanding of group travel. It’s true to say that they live and breathe their areas and have a real passion for creating innovative and varied products.

Introducing Janine Cuff, Senior Contract Manager & Destination Specialist Janine says… “I joined Albatross Travel 11 years ago, having been impressed by the company’s fantastic reputation within the industry as well as the people I had encountered in my previous wholesale role. I’m delighted to still be here, feeding my passion for Ireland which has snowballed ever since I first visited, 17 years ago – contracting Ireland is a dream job! I love the fact that this country has amazing, dramatic and varied landscapes with so much to do for people of any age and from all walks of life. It may sound like a cliché, but it’s so true, the people really are so welcoming and warm. Food and drink, as you’d hope and expect, are exceptional, and from my experience, just keep getting better and better. I’m lucky that my job takes me to Ireland regularly and I still always look forward to every visit – I don’t think I will ever tire of travelling here!”

Janine recommends… “Ireland, being so varied, has so much to offer (read the region descriptions below), but I have a couple of favourites for you to consider. Our new two centre, 7 day Tantalising Culinary Delights in a Two County Tour , based in Connemara and Wicklow, includes Renvyle House Hotel , which is something quite special and offers an unforgettable Irish food experience. Our new Castles & Coasts of Ireland’s Ancient East is a great 7 day two centre and the magnificent Minella Hotel is an experience within itself. I’m also delighted to have the fabulous Actons Hotel Kinsale in our new brochure. I’m convinced this is one of our best years for the range of tours to Ireland and I’m thrilled with the packages I have been able to put together, giving groups great value and amazing choices.”

We offer a range of tours that take in scenic driving routes and must-see attractions along the way, including the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, Sliabh League cliffs and the Old Head of Kinsale, where our new hotel is located. Ireland’s Ancient East Brimming with stories and legends from picture-postcard Carlingford to Cork, Ireland’s Ancient East takes you on an enchanting journey through 5,000 years of history, hope, love, battle and triumph against a backdrop of glorious green landscapes.
