It is with deep sadness that we inform you of his sudden passing. Bill was given an honourable service in Conakry, Guinea on Friday August 22. Bill is survived by his wife Beverly, his two children Siona and Nick and two brothers Robert (Bobby) and John (Jack). Bill was born in Hawkesbury, Ontario into a Christian home on August 10, 1951. He committed his life to Christ at the age of five and from a young age sensed the call of God upon his life. He served in youth ministry and as a pastor. After completing Missions Major at Eastern Pentecostal bible College, he began his mission’s ministry. Bill andwife Bev first went toGuinea in 1991 and have been actively involved in church planting. The Childcare Plus sponsorship program which was started by the Pharand’s in Guinea in 1999 includes over 100 children in both the English and French speaking communities. Bill and Bev have been instrumental in establishing 12 Christian schools (2 English and 10 French) which have been recognized by the Guinean government as having superior academic standards. They have also partnered with ERDO in projects over the years such as emergency food response for refugees, building and oversight of medical clinics, livestock and poultry projects and have stewarded the creation of bore wells which have provided clean water for churches, schools and communities.
