Days 10-11: Sail toward the Antarctic Continent and attempt a landing at Cape Adare, where in 1899, humans first wintered on the continent. Days 12- 16: Visit Ross Island, guarded by Mount Erebus, Mount Terror and Mount Byrd and discover the famous spots that played such an important role in the dramatic British expeditions of the last century. Days 17-18: Sail along theRoss IceShelf, afloatingmassof land-ice,witha front 30metres high. Days 19-25: Sail through the Amundsen Sea along and through the outer fringes of the pack-ice, while we take advantage of the west-going Antarctic coastal current. Day 26: Today we will attempt a helicopter landingonPeter I Island, anuninhabitedvolcanic island(19kilometres long) in theBellingshausenSea.

Days 27-28: Sail the Bellingshausen Sea en-route to the Antarctic Peninsula. Day 29: Explore the breathtaking Antarctic Peninsula. Later we will head through the famous Lemaire Channel and set a course for the DrakePassage. Days 30-32: At sea crossing theDrakePassage.
