Margaux Fox Is Poppin’!
JUST WRAPPED
MEET EVENTIQUE’S BALLOON EXPERT AND PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
While most of her 20-year-old peers were busy swapping lecture notes and comparing Tinder matches, Margaux Fox was up to her neck in balloons. She started her very own balloon installation company — POPPIN by Margaux Fox — as a teenager, foreshadowing a career in event design that eventually led her to Eventique. “I did a couple of balloon installations for friends’ birthdays, and from there, POPPIN grew!” Margaux recalls. “More and more people wanted them. Eventually, I started doing restaurant openings as well as company parties, graduations, family birthday parties, and all of that good jazz.” Margaux’s vision went far beyond balloon arches and selfie station backgrounds. Her secret to success was high-quality balloons clustered in “thick and bountiful” organic shapes. By the time she graduated college, POPPIN was serving both her hometown of Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and her college city of Charleston, South Carolina. Then, Margaux graduated with her degree in hospitality and events. She stashed her balloons in a Stone Harbor closet and set off for New York City. “I knew I loved events and I was looking for jobs in the city because I wanted to move to New York. Eventique really drew me in! When I saw the level of events they’ve produced, I knew I wanted to do that, too,” Margaux says. Margaux landed a job as one of Eventique’s production coordinators. Today, she works directly under Production Manager Cara Berger, helping organize drives and manage vendors.
A Smashing Global Success
Welcome to “Just Wrapped,” a monthly summary of what our team has been up to. Every year, we plan events like corporate parties, virtual experiences, concerts, and charity galas. This list is just a small peek behind the curtain. Scale Facilitation Office Opening Celebration Eventique recently partnered with the innovative venture capital firm Scale Facilitation on the launch of its new North America office at the One World Trade Center in New York City. The team designed and executed an intimate, upscale soirée for more than 200 of Scale Facilitation’s employees, leadership, investors, and clients as well as families affected by 9/11. The night included unique touches like cocktails with custom themed ice cubes, an Indigenous Australian didgeridoo performance, and words from Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister — but you don’t have to take our word for it! Margaux’s passion, creativity, and work ethic have made her a key part of Eventique’s team over the last year. She’s looking forward to producing more events that will let those traits shine! Margaux carries that creativity home with her after work. There, she transforms recipes into delicious dishes in her tiny New York City kitchen. She specializes in homemade pastas and other Italian entrees and reminisces fondly about a lobster ravioli she once assembled with light rose lobster sauce.
“Cara has the great ideas, and I help execute them!” Margaux says. “My experience here has really let me grow and helped me realize the possibilities in events that go beyond balloons.” One of her favorite projects so far was L’Occitane’s “Wonder Inside” pop-up at Lavan 541 last holiday season. The multilevel event showcased the brand’s signature holiday products — including its Beauty Advent Calendar and ornamental doll houses — with larger-than-life fabrications. Margaux fell in love with the event’s look and duality: Consumers filled the space in the morning to sample and purchase products, and influencers flooded through in the evening for an even more curated experience.
