Tennis: Parent and Tot • AGES 3-5 Parents, join your tot for our action-packed tennis program and introduce them to a lifetime of fun! Assist your child in learning basic skills and enjoy a variety of games, contests and fun age-appropriate activities using our special mini racquets and low-bounce red tennis balls; regulation racquets are provided for parents. Fee is per couple; one parent per child registered. In case of rain, up to two makeups will be held at the completion of the session. During the first part of the lesson, parents assist their child using the ABCs - agility, balance and coordination - using fun, tennis-based activities. Children learn basic tennis skills utilizing the USTA’s 10-and-under tennis pathway on smaller courts using special racquets and red tennis balls. The second part of the lesson is dedicated to play; first with the child playing with the parent and later playing against other children with the parents as coaches. Children use our special mini racquets; regulation racquets can be provided for parents. Fee is per couple; one parent per child registered. In case of rain, up to two makeups are scheduled. Part of each Match Prep class will include supervised match play with real-time tactical coaching and player self-reflection. Players will also be expected to participate in conditioning along with skill building drills and specific situation point play games. We focus on the ABCs - agility, balance and coordination - using a variety of games, contests and other fun activities. Children must wear tennis shoes; racquets can be provided. If classes are canceled due to weather, up to two makeups will be scheduled. This program transitions kids who have completed at least one Red Ball program to the next level and a larger court. We focus on the ABCs - agility, balance and coordination - using a variety of games, contests and other fun activities. Children learn basic tennis skills utilizing the USTA’s 10-and-under tennis pathway on smaller courts using special racquets. Beginning with red tennis balls on the 36’ tennis court, play will transition to the orange ball and the 60’ court during the latter part of the session. Children must wear tennis shoes; racquets can be provided. If classes are canceled due to weather, up to two makeups will be scheduled.
