Softball: Girls Coach Pitch • GRADE 1 Coach Pitch is a transitional Softball program where coaches pitch to their own players to encourage good hitting skills and fielding positions are rotated often. This is designed for those CURRENTLY in first grade. Players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practices are listed below beginning the week of May 15. Games will take place once each week on assigned fields. Games start the week of June 1 and run until July 15. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team. This is designed for those CURRENTLY in second grade. Building on 1st grade skills and adding a pitching machine to better prepare them for the next level, Players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practices are listed below. Games will take place once each week on assigned fields. Games start the week of June 1 and run until July 15. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team.
