STUDIED Hairdressing Level 3

DESTINATION Employment as a Hairdresser

“ Ami joined Preston College from Longridge High School and has successfully completed her Level 3 in Hairdressing. She is now ready to work as a hairdresser full-time alongside her Mum and aspires to own her salon one day. I’ve always wanted to work in the salon with my Mum and I got a taste of that when I completed my work experience with her. It was really interesting and I learnt a lot of new things. At College I have had great support from my tutors who have kept pushing me to do better, because of this I got through to the finals of the Annual Concept Hair Competition.

Hairdressers, barbers, and beauty therapists help people to look and feel great. You can be self-employed or there are opportunities within salons and spas, as well as in the tourism industry. At Preston College, you will have access to Elements, our onsite, bespoke salons. These realistic working environments are fully stocked with the equipment and supplies that you need and are the ideal place for you to perfect your skills and build your confidence.
