Sarah’s dad had big plans for retirement. He had tirelessly worked late nights, holidays, and weekends to support his family and eventually put all of his kids through college. When retirement finally came, he had saved just enough for the trip of a lifetime—a two-year adventure around the world with his wife. But just days after his retirement, he was told he had terminal cancer. “He never got to take that trip,” Sarah says. “When he passed away, my goal became to work smarter so I could live more.” Sarah and her family were blessed to have a year and a half with her dad after his
diagnosis. “We made great memories,” she says, “but I still think about how he worked his whole life just to die.” After her father’s death, Sarah reprioritized her life, ultimately enrolling with Melaleuca to earn repeat income while enjoying time at home with her children. “As soon as I saw Melaleuca’s Compensation Plan, I went all in,” she says. She’s also deeply attracted to the heart of the company. At Convention this year, Sarah had a chance to meet CEO Jerry Felton. She was touched by how down- to-earth and kind he was. “Even if I made
no money, I would stay here,” she says, “because I love everything Melaleuca stands for. The way we lift others up, the way we honor our veterans, and the way that anyone can find success no matter what their background is.” Sarah knows that if her father were with her today, he would be so proud of her hard work—and her ability to prioritize the things that truly matter. “Time really is precious,” she says. “And I am loving every second with Melaleuca.”
