Highest Undergraduate GPA Awards Announced
on the Kappa Foundation avowing “A New Way Forward.” A Memorial Ser- vice took place in remembrance of all brothers of the Southern Province that passed on to Chapter Invisible since the 66 th Southern Province Council. The following committee reports were then given: Health & Wellness [SIDS Sunday]; Senior Kappas [Senior Kappa Week]; Time & Place [Province Council locations: 2018 — Mobile,
AL, 2019 — Fort Myers, FL, 2020 — TBD]; and Evaluations. Eight resolutions were recommended for approval by the Southern Province Resolutions Committee. All passed unanimously. A Southern Province Life Membership Reception was held and the focus of the event was in memory of past Grand
Achievement Chairman Timothy Dawkins (Sarasota (FL) Alumni 1985) announced the awards for the high- est grade point average. The chapters garnering the Highest Undergraduate Chapter GPA awards for fall 2016 were: first place — Eta Mu [3.07]; second place — Iota Chi [2.90] and third place — Kappa Kappa [2.86]. The Dr. Keflyn X. Reed Undergraduate Academic Scholars for fall 2016 were: first place —Alexis Damianos [Epsilon Mu|3.95]; second place — Lorenzo Ja- mal Davis [Lambda Omega|3.87] and third place —Anthony G. Albornoz [Zeta Phi|3.76]. Presiding officer Jr. Province Vice Polemarch (AL) Bryant Williams called the Third Business Session to order proceeding with the day’s activities.
