Alpha Rho’s “Arrogant 8” Celebrates 50 Years
The Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, Thomas L. Battles Jr. congratulates the brothers from the Arrogant 8 line of the Alpha Rho of Kappa Alpha Psi ® at the Lewis Institute, who celebrated the 50 th year anniver- sary of their initiation into the fraternity at the 34 th annual metro Chicago Founders’ Day celebra- tion held on Saturday, January 28, 2017. The Illinois Institute of Technol- ogy was formed in 1940 by the merger of Armour Institute of Technology (founded in 1890) and Lewis Institute (founded in 1895). As such Alpha Rho’s letters were retired and replaced by the Kappa Phi Chapter, chartered in 1981 to serve most of the Chicago-area colleges and universities.
