KAPPAS IN THE ARTS

endeavor will always be a main objec- tive throughout my professional career as an actor. Every audition, play, meet- ing, networking event, film project, or script I’m a part of, I always give one hundred and ten percent. Journal: What is the last book you read? DA: I am currently reading “The Ce- lestine Prophecy” by James Redfield. The book is a first-person narrative of spiritual awakening. My favorite book of all time is “The Shack” by William P. Young. I lost my mother three years ago and I read this book a couple of days after my loss. It truly made me feel better and brought me closer to God and restored my faith. The book describes how the lead character re- stores his faith in God after losing his daughter. Journal: Is there anything we haven’t asked that you would want the Brothers to know? DA: In the next five years, I want to take my career to the next level. My goal for this year is to book a season regular on a TV series produced by a great network. I will continue to train and perfect my skill set every year. My training goal is to enroll in the summer program at Guildhall School of Music and Drama very soon. Guildhall School is a major European conservatoire, which is both a music school and a drama school. I will hopefully continue to work on films as well. Hopefully I will get a chance to partake in a film that gets entered into Sundance film festival and go on to win an academy award. I am also writing my own scripts and looking to get into produc- ing. I think it’s a strategic move when actors produce and write their own projects. I think it’s the right path to build longevity in the business.
