This may impact some income dependent charges or benefits including: • entitlement to tax free childcare • the high income child benefit charge If you do not settle before 5 April 2019 and fail to pay the loan charge you may face: • continued enquiries • higher tax bills • interest • possible penalties
The longer you take to settle your use of these schemes, the more you’ll pay in interest charges.

Basis Periods – looking at commencement years, changes to accounting date and overlapping periods In this webinar the focus is on basis periods, a subject that’s prominent around the self-assessment peak. In particular it will look at the different rules that apply to commencement years, the effect on a basis period when there is a change of accounting date and overlapping periods. HMRC will also look at some pointers when dealing with a change from sole trader to partnership and vice versa.

Payrolling – tax employees benefits through payroll Payrolling is designed to make it easier for employees to see that they're paying the right amount of tax and easier for your employer clients as they won’t need to send in P11Ds for payrolled benefits. You can find out more about the advantages of payrolling benefits in kind provided to employees to both them and their employer.
