ICL MINI - MED SCHOOL

THE AVERAGE DOCTOR SPENDS 16 MINUTES PER PATIENT Common pa Ɵ ent comments, “I didn’t get a chance to ask ques Ɵ ons” or, “ What did they say?” or , “ I s Ɵ ll don’t understand.” Not so with the ICL/Intermountain Health’s MINI - MED SCHOOL! Here, you can spend a full hour with a doctor, who will discuss health problems that are of interest to you, then give you Ɵ me to ask ques Ɵ ons. It’s very unlikely you will leave saying, “Gee, I s Ɵ ll don’t understand...” Our philosophy – Health educa Ɵ on should empower patients to become advocates for their own health care and make informed decisions. Our popular Mini - Med School curriculum consists of four Ɵ mely health lectures delivered by specialists in their fi elds. x February 11 th – Func Ɵ onal Fitness – Dr. Ginamarie Foglia x February 18 th – Aging Bone & Joints – Dr. Robert Jamieson x February 25 th – What’s New in Radia Ɵ on Therapy – Dr. Ned Williams x March 4 th – The Aging Brain – Dr. Kyle Gulbranson

All lectures will be held at 5:30pm in the Dunford Auditorium (Browning Learning Center Building) on the Utah Tech campus. Ample, free parking is available. No pre - registra Ɵ on is necessary, membership in ICL is not required, and all lectures are free! So bring your family, friends (if you have any), and that uncle “Aldolf” that no one wants to talk about. In its second year, the Mini - Med School is a collabora Ɵ ve, community educa Ɵ on program sponsored by Utah Tech University’s Ins Ɵ tute for Con Ɵ nued Learning and Intermountain Health. Inves Ɵ ng in community health educa Ɵ on is not merely a social service; it is the cornerstone of a vibrant, resilient, and thriving society. If you have ques Ɵ ons, please email the ICL o ffi ce - icl@utahtech.edu or phone - 435 - 652 - 7670. See you there, Warren Stucki, MD, President of ICL Council
