hope+door Helping Families Avoid Homelessness
F or many families, one no-fault financial emergency can lead directly to the threat of homelessness. Our mission is to prevent eviction and keep families in their homes long-term. While every family’s circumstances are unique, the complications that result from family homelessness are similar: children pulled out of the school and community they are comfortable in, parents forced to relocate and lose touch with their professional network, reliable childcare becomes difficult to find, and other financial insecurities can develop. The stability that a family needs so they can find stable housing becomes increasingly difficult to come by. By providing emergency rent relief to families in need, hope+door helps maintain a stable housing environment so that families can get back on their feet and avoid homelessness before it starts.
In 2023, hope+door was able to help 60+ families by providing children and their parents relief from the fear of homelessness.
