ESOL & TESOL
JOHN ESOL John joined the ESOL courses at Preston College to improve his English, make new friends, and build his skills in speaking, writing, and comprehension. When he first started, his knowledge of English was limited, but with every lesson, his confidence and abilities have grown. He now communicates more clearly and has developed strong listening and writing skills - achievements he is incredibly proud of. Originally a car mechanic in Sudan, John’s time at Preston College has inspired him to explore a new career path in carpentry. Outside the classroom, the course has opened doors to new social experiences – from dining out, to enjoying coffee with friends, and embracing a new lifestyle. For John, the most rewarding part of his journey has been trying new things and feeling more connected. His advice is simple but powerful: “Education is essential in life. It helps you communicate with others, enhances every aspect of your life, and allows you to grow.”
