Koenig & Bauer And Rigorous Technology To Host Free Webinar Rigorous Technology, a robotics and technology compa- ny based in Williston, Vermont, is holding a free webinar along with Koenig & Bauer on December 15, 2025 to pro- vide valuable information about advanced automation and robotics in a box manufacturing facility. This web event will be moderated by Diane Abruzzini, COO and co-founder of Rigorous Technology; Colin Riggs, CEO and co-founder of Rigorous Technology; Chelsea Al- len, VP of product at Rigorous Technology; and Tom Fitz- gerald, Koenig & Bauer’s director of post press and corru- gated products. The webinar, “Right Fit Automation in Box Plants” will take a deep dive into automation opportunities in box plant finishing departments, answering questions like: What are the correct robots for your facility, how do you decide between collaborative or industrial robots, a turnkey or custom solution? During the fireside chat, Abruzzini, Riggs, and Fitzgerald will discuss how robotics is playing a key role in overcom- ing the labor challenges in the printing industry. Rigorous manufactures robots as easy to use as web applications through intuitive user interfaces, alarm readouts, and au- tomated fault mitigation. They will also provide valuable insights on how box manufacturers are turning automation and robotics into a revenue-driving solution by combining
Rigorous’ RIG palletizer and Koenig & Bauer’s popular line of folder gluers to empower a post press operation. The trio will also highlight two high profile printers using Koenig & Bauer and Rigorous equipment to their advan- tage. Rigorous initially worked with New Jersey’s Accurate Box Company as a design partner to help develop tooling and software specifically for products packed in half-slot- ted cartons (HSC), expanding the range of products that the RIG can process in finishing departments. Chelsea Al- len will demonstrate the new HSC RIG and share a spe- cial offer solely for event attendees: any RIG purchased in 2026 will include one year of free remote support, a $9,000 value.” Koenig & Bauer introduced Rigorous to Southern Cham- pion Tray (SCT). SCT’s engineering team leveraged Rigor- ous’ RIG Palletizing software to cost effectively deploy pal- letizing at scale, tailored to their specific processes while giving them control over management and deployment. “Rigorous and Koenig & Bauer will be accelerating man- ufacturing and deployments of the RIG products in 2026,” says Abruzzini. “The RIG Palletizing solution is designed specifically for corrugated and folding carton applications. Koenig & Bauer helped us identify this need through their deep industry experience, and the fit has proven to be ide- al. Our software platform is providing manufacturers with in-house engineering teams the most cost-effective way to deploy smart palletizers and other robots at scale.
