ORACLE March 2019 Final

ORPS FMCA CHAPTER In February, our ORPS-FMCA family enjoyed an outstanding six-course Wine Tasting/Food Pairing Dinner! The planning and food preparation for this event was accomplished entirely by our local FMCA chapter members.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

With a cold and wet winter behind us, we look forward to March and the warmer weather. The influx of spring break visitors make this the right time to think about safety.

The event committee included L ARRY F REDELLA , D AN O’M ELIA , R ALPH & M ICHELE J OINER , J EFF B UCHMAN , K EN H EARN , L INDA P ARKER and P AM R OSE . Fifty-four of our local chapter members enjoyed this tasty event as our talented chefs prepared six courses: Fruit with Mumm Napa Champagne (Pam & Linda); Shrimp Cocktail with St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc (Dan & Larry); Gouda and Havarti Cheese with Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay (Dan & Larry); Pulled Pork and Cole Slaw with Earthquake Zinfandel (Michele & Ralph); Tri Tip and Sweet/White potato chips with Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon (Jeff); and Chocolate/Nut Roll and blue cheese with Gerard Bertrand Banyuls (Ken). The food, wine and comradery of the evening was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

Our security department is issuing citations for violation of the speeding, stop sign, parking and dog rules. All vehicles must be parked on your lot overnight, unless you have been issued a permit for temporary parking at a

satellite, a clubhouse or the Ramon RV parking lot. Speed limit is 10 mph and stop signs must be obeyed.

Why not join us for future fun and entertaining events? Just as a reminder: FMCA is open to all who have an RV (a self- contained unit with sanitary facilities and water). Anyone with a motorhome or

DOG OWNERS & FRIENDS COMMITTEE My name is Ruben and this is my dog, Sofie. We love living here at Outdoor Resort. We moved here in October. My Mom, Stephanie and others are on the Dog Owners & Friends Committee here and are trying to make the park better for everyone. One idea is to find people who would be willing to let dogs use their lots for

Be sure to call security in advance (760-770-0065) to register your visitors so we avoid long wait lines at the Ramon gate. Call security to report any suspicious behavior. But please recognize that the security personnel are especially busy this month and must prioritize their response depending on the urgencies of the moment. Let’s make March free of accidents and remember to lock our bicycles using a U-lock.

a quick relief area. It’s really hard for dogs, especially in the back of the park to make it to the relief areas, but we all want to follow the rules. My mom taught me to ALWAYS have a

bag and clean up after Sofie. We have to make sure everyone is treated with respect. Let us know if your space might work for dog relief or if you have other ideas. Please feel free to come to the dog committee meeting and share your thoughts.
