ORACLE March 2019 Final

ORPS QUILTERS & SEWING CLUB Tuesday - Friday West Room at ES Bring your sewing machine and your own project to work on. Everyone is welcome!

The committee finalized its new charter in February. Changes were made to generalize the responsibilities of the committee and to give the neighborhood representatives (previously called Phase Reps) more flexibility in determining what their role will be. Thank you to B ARB H NATIUK who volunteered to be the Neighborhood Representative Chair. The purpose of the committee as outlined in the new charter is advisory to the Board of Directors on all matters relating to internal and external communications to ensure transparency of governance and the timely and efficient dissemination of information. The Communications Committee, through appointed Neighborhood Representatives, represents the lot owners in their neighborhoods on communications issues and social neighborhood events. The Committee sponsors, plans, and manages the annual New Owners’ Reception. Under the new charter, the Communications Committee is comprised of 7-9 members. The current committee includes K RISTEN D AMAZIO , Chair; L YNNE L IVINGSTON , Vice-Chair; P AM W ALKER , Secretary; B ARB H NATIUK , Neighborhood Representative Sub-Committee Chair; B OB L IVINGSTON , Marketing Sub-Committee Chair; and E VA N ORCROSS , ORACLE Editor. We need 1-3 more people to complete our committee. We are looking for owners with expertise or an interest in communications to join us. The Neighborhood Representatives Sub-Committee would also like to have more members . If people get involved now they will have input into what the roles and responsibilities are for the Neighborhood Reps. Our next Communications Committee meeting will be Monday, March 4 at 10AM in the Multipurpose Room in the Owners’ Lounge at El Saguaro. The committee’s focus for the remainder of the season is to finalize and begin to implement a new communications plan. Watch for the new electronic signage at El Saguaro and La Palma!
