May 11th Beginnings 7:30pm| North Platte Community Playhouse NYC-based 7-piece band dedicated to playing the great music of the band Chicago as well as the original. Grounded on a rock-solid rhythm section, headlined by 3 superb horns, plus great lead guitar and strong vocals, seeing a Beginnings performance is like seeing Chicago 30 years ago. May 13th Flatrock Classic 9-12U Baseball Tournament Cody Park Softball Fields Enjoy watching this youth baseball tournament. Cars & Coffee 8am-11am | The Espresso Shop This is an informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars. Coffee and breakfast served at the Espresso Shop. Parking at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. All vehicles welcome. May 14th Flatrock Classic 9-12U Baseball Tournament Cody Park Softball Fields Enjoy watching this youth baseball tournament. May 19th Lincoln County Raceway: Jr. Go Karts 7pm | Lincoln County Raceway Rookies, Jr. 1 and 2, OOB Light and adult clones. May 20th Tyler Vanderheiden Memorial 2 Mile & 5 Mile Run Cody Park Enjoy a flat, fast course with a choice of two unique distances. Music on the Bricks 7:30pm | Canteen District Enjoy live music and tons of fun, downtown on the bricks, in the historical Canteen District! May 22nd Buddy Check 6pm – 8pm | WB’s Fun Center A special gathering of Veterans dedicated to reducing and eliminating Veteran suicide.

May 23rd & 24th NSAA State Golf Tournament Lake Maloney Golf Club 2023 Boys High School Class D State Golf Tournament May 24th Nebraska Nature Nerd Trivia Night 7pm-9pm | Pals Brewing Company Join Nebraska Game and Parks for trivia night! Nature is cool and there are a lot of questions to ask, so get your fellow nature nerds together and compete to win prizes. NSAA State Golf Tournament Lake Maloney Golf Club 2023 Boys High School Class D State Golf Tournament May 26th 5th Annual Bucking Battle & Bash 6pm | Pals Brewing Company It’s the 5th annual Halls Electric Bucking Battle and Bash Bullriding, Freestyle Bullfighting, and Futurity with top bulls, riders and fighters competing for over $30,000 cash and prizes. There will also be an after party. The PAC offers many galleries for viewing, classes for creativity, and a gift shop. May 3rd Town Hall Lecture Series: Chef Darren McGrady, Eating Royally 10:30am | North Platte Community Playhouse The Town Hall Lecture Series brings engaging, insightful, and informative speakers from across the world to audiences in North Platte. Chef Darren McGrady was chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales and Princes William and Harry for 15 years. He has cooked for five U.S. Presidents and currently is owner of Eating Royally (in Dallas, TX). On stage, Chef McGrady shares stories from his time with the Royal Family and catering for other global dignitaries. May 5th Cinco De Mayo 6pm-11pm | Canteen District Celebrate Cinco De Mayo downtown with food vendors, music, dancers, children’s activities, pinatas, and more! May 6th Spring Fling Cody Park Shop home decor, hand designed jewelry, homemade furniture, clothing, holiday decor, and much more- along with food vendors!
