Lincoln County Raceway: Jr. Go Karts 7pm | Lincoln County Raceway Rookies, Jr. 1 and 2, OOB Light, and adult clones. September 16th Viva North Platte Festival Latinoamericano, or Latin American Festival highlights Hispanic culture! Cars & Coffee 8am-11am | The Espresso Shop This is an informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars. Coffee and breakfast served at the Espresso Shop. Parking at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. All vehicles welcome. September 22nd Buddy Check 6pm-8pm | WB’s Fun Center A special gathering of Veterans dedicated to reducing and eliminating Veteran suicide. Veterans are invited to enjoy food and fellowship during these monthly Buddy Check. There will be pizza and refreshments. Sometimes there are special guest speakers. September 23rd North Platte Canteen Festival Times and locations vary | Canteen District The North Platte Canteen was one of the largest volunteer efforts of World War II, serving over six million service men and women. Today we honor those efforts and keep the story alive with musical and theatrical performances, a market, and more! September 7th The Brewery Comedy Tour 7pm-8:30pm | Pals Brewing Company This nationwide comedy tour has already hit 3000 venues across the U.S. Stand-up comedians from New York to L.A. are currently on the road, sampling the local fare, drinks, and providing the finest and funniest in comedy entertainment. September 9th National Avocado Launching Championship Wild West Arena The National Avocado Launching Championship is exactly what it sounds like: a national avocado launching championship. Teams of three compete to score the most points by launching avocados at targets to win prize money and glory! Doggy Dash 5K & Mile This furry, fun 5K and mile are for the dogs and their human partners! Bring your favorite canine running partner or run by yourself. All participating dogs must be on a 6 foot or shorter leash. No puppies, please.
