I took this endeavour on is because after Frank Lalonde restarted the tradition in our community in 2011, he could not continue in 2012.There was a public appeal in themedia because if no one took this on, there would be no Terry Fox Run in Clarence-Rockland. In 2011, both my father and mother-in-law were diagnosed with cancer. Both passed away in 2012. In September 2012, it was my first Run as organizer. In 2014, my mother was diagnosed and passed away from can- cer.” This event is not about Roman Novak but it is hard to not feel the passion he has for the event and its cause. In the past four years, Novak was able, with the help of the runners and volunteers, to raise $15,556. With this year’s edition, his total amount raised is $21,080.
