The 65,000 cfm negative pressure system consists of Höcker PMA rotary airlock separators, MultiStar continu- ous-duty dust collectors integrated with dust briquetters and two shredding stations. Kernic and Höcker designed and supplied a zero-de- fect shredding system for the large BHS Corrugated line to automatically shred defect waste and pneumatically con- vey it 500 feet to the baler room.

The baler room includes a second Höcker PHSH com- bo shredder for sheet waste, peel waste, and 110-foot long cores. The negative pressure system was designed to ensure minimal to no dust leakage from system ductwork and op- erate with more efficiency than some conventional posi- tive pressure systems through the integration of the Kernic and Höcker supplied control system that communicates with the corrugator and converting machines and idles fan speed when not required.
