756 Jesus if they are to he saved? (John 3:17.) Can we he saved in any other way? (John 3 :36 ) W hat does Jesus w ant those who believe on Him to do in th is world? (Do ju st what He did.) W hat did Jesus do? (W ent every­ where telling people th a t God loved them and wanted to save them .) Did everybody believe Him? (No.) Does everybody believe Him now? (No.) Why is it th a t some boys and girls do not believe on Jesus now? If we go out and tell others about Jesus, will some of them accept Him? (Yes.) W hat will Jesus do for those who accept Him? (P ray for them , v. 20.) W hat does He ask th e F ath e r to do for them ? (That they may all be one, v. 21.) W hat does Jesus say th e world will do if they see all those who love Jesus united? (Believe th a t we are Chris­ tian s.) Are most boys and girls Christians? (No.) Why not? (Because no one tries to help them .) Let us see what we can do to help them become Christians and tell about it next week. Memory Verse: “As thou hast sent me into tthe world, even so have I also sent them into the world.” 17:18. n n A fter Jesus had told them the beauti­ ful tru th about th e vine, He told them why they heeded to keep close to Him. When He was gone to Heaven they were to tell th e people of th e world about Jesus. Satan would not like them to do th a t, and would do all he could to prevent it. very badly because they tried to have others give th e ir h earts to Jesus. They will p u t you out of th e meeting houses, and will try to kill you. They will do th a t because they do not know Me as you do. I know this makes you feel very sad, but I shall send the Holy Spirit to comfort and help you. Unless I go away the Holy Spirit cannot come to help you preach about Me. When He comes He will do th ree things. Show th e world what SIN is in God’s sight; w hat a wonderful Saviour Jesus is; and last, th a t some day God will punish all who do not take Jesus as th e ir Saviour, when He was so good as to die for our sin, so God could fo r­ give us and take us to Heaven. As Jesus talked the disciples grew so sad, th a t Jesus said, “I have much more to tell you, but you are so sad I will not tell you anything more, bu t will let the Holy Spirit tell you when I am gone. You are so sad now you would forget them if I told you more. The Holy Spirit will take all the things th a t I want to say to you and tell them to you in such a way th a t you cannot forget them. He will explain all the wonderful things th a t I am going to do for you. He will tell you the tru th about every thing you ought to know, and all the glorious things th a t are going to happen to you some day, and how Satan is going to get th e worst for his fight against God and Me. Thf Holy Spirit will tell you how I am coming back for you, and how glo­ riously you are going to help, when
