Welcome
Welcome to the 48th annual UWRF Colts in Training Sale. On May 4 th you will have the opportunity to purchase from 45 outstanding performance prospects that have been started under saddle by UWRF students. Students have spent the last semester working diligently to prepare these young horses for you to purchase and go on with in the discipline of your choice. I would personally like to thank all of the UWRF students enrolled in the Colts in Training course, the horse community, the sale consignors, and the buyers. Without your support and dedication, this program could not have been a success for the last 48 years. Thank You, Nathan O'Connor

Terms & Conditions
Please read and familiarize yourself with the TERMS & CONDITIONS of the sale. You will be bound by these TERMS & CONDITIONS whether you read them or not! ALL HORSES: ALL HORSES must have a negative Coggins certificate issued within twelve (12) months prior of the sale date. If these do not accompany the horse, a veterinarian will be assigned to do appropriate testing and will issue these certificates at the expense of the consignor. CONSIGNORS: You are responsible for the accuracy of your catalog page. Please verify all pertinent information, including engagements, and report any errors to the sale company to be announced at sale. ERRORS : We make every attempt to avoid errors and to insure correctness in the catalog, but we are human, if a mistake does occur, we reserve the right to correct it and the sales management and auctioneer will not assume or accept any responsibilities for errors or omissions of statements (either verbally or written). We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. RESEARCH ACCURACY: The pedigree and performance information used in the catalog has been provided by the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, NRHA, NRBC, and Robin Glenn Pedigrees, Inc. Although every effort has been made for accuracy, errors may occur. None of the above sources will be held responsible for errors. Every effort has been made to provide complete and accurate information on individuals, dams, sires, and their offspring. UWRF is not responsible for errors. Any information provided by the consignor and not verified, is the responsibility of the consignor. The seller is the sole guarantor of all such information and is responsible for validity of the information provided on these catalog pages. ELIGIBLE/ENROLLED: Eligible means appropriate fees for that engagement still need to be met. Enrolled/Nominated means fees have been met for that specific engagement. ALL ATTENDEES BE ADVISED: Some horses may have earned money and points in events not recorded. Some associations do not keep records on the horses' earnings and points. Because this information is not always readily available, and many past records have been lost in associations, not all lifetime records will be complete.
BIDS: Bidding will occur Online and be conducted by DVAuction.com The auctioneer will decline any bid made by parties who have defaulted in former purchases or by persons who, in his judgment, are not responsible bidders. The auctioneer's decision is final!
OWNERS RIGHT TO BID: This auction is conducted "with reserve".
PAYMENT: Terms of sale are cash. Payment in full must be made to the cashier immediately after the sale. All payments shall be in U.S Currency and on the U.S Banks only. A driver's license is required for personal checks. Any persons signing a check in the state of Wisconsin is liable for the amount of the check. Any person giving "insufficient funds" check or issuing an order to "stop payment" of a check will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There will be a $500.00 fee for all returned checks that are not replaced with a cashier's check within 3 days of the return date of the check. DEFAULT: If any person shall purchase a lot and not pay for it as prescribed above, nothing shall prevent the auctioneer or the owner from pursuing whatever legal remedy available to compel the purchaser to pay for it if the auctioneer or seller so deem fit.
REGISTRATION PAPERS: All registration papers will be withheld until BUYER'S PAYMENT BECOMES UNCONDITIONAL PAYMENT.
LIMITED WARRANTIES: The seller is the responsible party for all representations or warranties, expressed or implied concerning the condition of any horse and buyers should satisfy themselves concerning the condition of any horse they purchase. Except as otherwise announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale, the consignor of each animal represents and warrants to the buyer and UWRF, the following: 1. Title of the animal free from all adverse claims to ownership, use or possession. 2. The animal is sound of eyes and wind. 3. The animal is not a "cribber" or "wind sucker." 4. The animal has not been nerved, does not have navicular disease, and is not currently foundered. 5. The sex or condition as a gelding or ridgeling is as described in the sale catalog or announced at time of sale. 6. Any animal which at time of sale is described as a colt and does not at such time have two testes descended to the scrotum must be announced. Warranty with respect to descended testes does not apply to any horse sold prior to July 1 of his yearling year. Each animal is sold by the consignor WITHOUT WARRANTY AND WITH ALL FAULTS . Every horse is sold under this rule, therefore, no horse can be rejected by the buyer.
TITLE: Immediately after the horse is sold it will be the sole risk and responsibility of the buyer. Effective from the time of purchase, the buyer assumes responsibility for the maintenance and care of the animal. The buyer further agrees to indemnify and hold the consignor, along with UWRF, harmless from all loss, cost, and expense arising from illness, injury, or death of such animal, or loss or damage to property, and injury or death of such animal, or loss of damage to property, and injury or death of persons, caused by the buyer, the buyer's agents or employees, or by the animal subsequent to the time of purchase.
