Welcome to Mogck & Sons Angus. What an exciting year it has been for the cow/calf person. The future looks even more exciting. Low numbers along with demand for quality beef makes me believe good times have just begun. As I said in last year’s letter, get your genetics in order. A few extra pounds will pay big dividends and superior eating quality is what drives demand for beef, and marbling is what gives beef the flavor the consumer is looking for. THE BULLS This year we are adding nine 2-year-old bulls along with 120 long aged bulls. These two-year-olds are absolutely good. They are big and growthy and ready to go to work. The 120 bulls are born in December and January. Look at their EPDs. Many are in the top 25% for growth, which will give you more pounds. Also look at the $Values. They have maternal, growth and carcass traits— total package. THE FEMALES 50 females will sell. There will be a large percentage of these cows with an AI calf at side. You will love the quality of these cows when you see that calf. All females are registered and will be transferred to you. The demand for these females increases every year. You won’t be disappointed. OUR PROGRAM We have built our program on trust, honesty, longevity and treating people fairly. The cattle we sell have to be the same way. We try to collect as much data as we can. Just saying they are good isn’t enough. We must measure it and prove it. We have been here a long time and plan to be here a long time in the future. We treat you like we want to be treated.
