Hello BICSI Membership! Spring is upon us; baseball has begun, and summer is right around the corner. While we prepare for our summer vacations, family outings, and holiday cookouts, let’s also remember to continue our professional development. For those of you whose credentials are expiring in 2024, this is a great time to check your CECs and conference requirement status on the Credential Holder Dashboard so you can prepare for recertification. We have a variety of on- demand opportunities available on BICSI Connect and a slate of virtual and in-person training already on the calendar. I also want to remind everyone to take a moment to log in to your Customer Service Center. I’ve made a career working with a membership association and one of the most common complaints I’ve heard over the years is, “Why didn’t I receive the [insert: newsletter/renewal notice/voting notice/volunteer opportunities, etc].” Unfortunately, it’s too frequent an occurrence that we are unable to connect with members due to outdated or missing profile information. Log in today to verify or update your: • Contact information: email (primary and secondary), phone, cell phone, addresses (work and home) • Membership expiration date • Credential status • Employer and professional title (if you don’t have an employer listed and would like your account to be connected, reach out to bicsi@bicsi.org) Account profile maintenance is an important part of ensuring that you can take full advantage of your membership benefits and BICSI opportunities, while staying on top of your credentials. So, while you’re preparing for the fun and sun of summer, also remember to plan for your professional development needs with BICSI.
