Creative Leadership Two of the event speakers, Lisa Ryan, MBA, CSP and founder of Grategy, and Mark Brothers, Senior Vice Presi- dent of Human Resources at RRD Solutions, were selected as part of PPC’s leadership and workforce development initiatives offering solutions to address the challenge of at- tracting and retaining talented staff members. In an interactive presentation, Ryan emphasized the value of work culture in attracting and keeping good em- ployees. In the “awesome, average, and awful” categories of bosses, Ryan said that it is the awesome bosses who create a work environment where employees can thrive and are given opportunities that allow them to grow. Em- ployers can’t afford to keep toxic employees because too often it results in the best employees leaving the company, she said.
