Dear MAAG Americas Team:
I wanted to start October's newsletter by thanking everyone for participating in Dover’s myVoice survey! I am proud that we achieved a 93% response rate in the Americas. We will take your opinions into account when defining the strategy for 2025 and beyond! With three quarters of the year behind us, I also thank you for the hard work and contribution everyone has made! We are in a good position, as MAAG Americas is one of the few regions in MAAG meeting the budget. This puts us into a good position from which to define the budget for next year. The US has been performing much better over the past months than Europe and Asia, and our outlook for the near future is very positive. With interest rates getting lower, inflation down, material cost stable, and a strong job market, we have everything we need to make 2025 a successful year. We are finalizing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for 2025, and I will be able to communicate some of the details during the upcoming townhalls. I am sure that by now it is no surprise that we will continue to focus on people development, operational transformation, and customer experience. These are the 3 pillars we have defined as the corner stones of our strategy. I am looking forward to seeing your strong performance for the last quarter of the year, as well as continued support going into 2025. The transformational journey we have started last year continues!
Thank you, Paul Merich

MAAG Kent Night at the Ballpark
On August 23 rd , Maag Kent employees and their families gathered in the picnic area by left field at Canal Park Stadium in Akron. The Rubber Ducks played an exciting game against the Harrisburg Senators which went into extra time when the Rubber Ducks evened the score in the 9 th inning. Unfortunately, the Senators were able to score a winning run in the bottom of the 10th. Despite the loss, everyone enjoyed the all-you-can-eat picnic and fireworks that closed out the beautiful summer evening.

Life is a little sweeter with a slice of cheesecake…
Chris Tucker is a dedicated Maintenance Technician at Maag Gala, where he has lent his expertise for nearly 18 years. Beyond his professional pursuits, Chris is an avid baker, a passion ignited by fond memories of assisting his mother in the kitchen while growing up. He got the idea to make cheesecake while eating a slice and thinking, "I can do this myself." He printed three different cheesecake recipes and began experimenting to create the perfect plain cheesecake that suited his taste. During his experiments, Chris discovered that adding all-purpose flour to the batter prevents it from cracking and using a water bath helps to retain moisture and prevent it from drying out. He mentioned, "If you don't do this, your cheesecake will definitely crack.“ Chris' favorite cheesecake to make is the New York-style cheesecake which is a dense, smooth and creamy-style cheesecake. He mentioned that he often adds different toppings to suit different needs. The plain cheesecake is one of the recipes Chris has perfected, and it serves as a base for the other cheesecakes he makes. According to Chris, a banana cheesecake was his least favorite creation. He explained that achieving a smooth texture required pureeing the bananas before incorporating them into the filling. After baking, he tasted a small portion and found it so unsatisfactory that he didn't serve it at all. Instead, he decided to make a lemon blueberry cheesecake, which turned out to be a huge success. Chris took on an unusual challenge by creating a cheesecake flavored with Fruity Pebbles. To perfect the recipe, he compared multiple recipes, carefully analyzing the ingredients of each to find the perfect combination. Surprisingly, the end result was quite delightful, considering it was flavored with Fruity Pebbles cereal. Chris also shared that his inspiration for this unique flavor was a special request from one of the employee's kids who absolutely adored it. In addition to Chris' culinary adventures, he generously donates his cheesecakes to Kars Unlimited, a non-profit organization, to support charitable causes like cancer awareness. One of his cheesecakes even fetched over $70 during a cakewalk fundraiser, demonstrating its immense popularity and appeal. Many thanks to Chris for sharing this wonderful hobby with us!
