These works are created using wood, polystyrene, printed imagery, abstract art and resin. Symbolising our need to search for acceptance and validation through our phones and social media, this series of super-sized phones reflects the important role they play in our lives. Jeffrey says: “Phones have brought about a whole new way of living; they are a window to a virtual community. People are holding their lives in the palm of their hands.”
VINYLGRAPHS
For this collection, the pair researched music history to add layers to the pieces. They were inspired by their father, who is a keen collector of vinyl records. Jeffrey adds: “He has six jukeboxes and thousands of 45s, so we thought creating a 45-rpm vinyl would be really cool. They are made on wood grain with detail on the face and a hole cut in the centre.”
