Business - Edexcel
Introduction GCSE Business gives pupils a firm foundation in all aspects of business, from entrepreneurship to human resource management. The questions in the exam range from 1 mark to 12 marks and are based on source material from real businesses. Recent exams have used companies such as Ocado, Facebook and Nando’s as case studies. The GCSE is divided into two themes; theme one concentrates on the key business concepts, issues and skills involved in starting and running a small business. Theme 2 examines how a business develops beyond the start up phase. This includes marketing, operations, finance and human resources. It also considers the impact of the wider world, for example pressure groups, ethical issues and the environment.
