Examination The GCSE is a linear qualification. There are 2 exams, each lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The paper is divided into three sections: Section A: 35 marks Section B: 30 marks Section C: 25 marks. The paper will consist of calculations, multiple-choice, short-answer and extended-writing questions. Questions in Sections B and C will be based on business contexts given in the paper. Calculators may be used in the examination.

Who should take this course You should take this course if you are interested in running or managing a business in the future. If you want to learn about how you could start your own business and how key decisions are made within business. If you are interested in why businesses you know and see every day are so successful, this course is for you. This course is a great foundation for the world of work beyond GCSE and for post-16 study, particularly for A Level Business or Economics.
