Work is ongoing to advance medical records to be hosted by Epic, the leading electronic medical record in the United States. Rehabilitation will soon move across the street to the former First Baptist Church location, where the business side of the hospital is currently based, prompting a move for Administration, Finance & Billing to move into the former Brennan’s building on State Street. All of these domino-like moves are being made so that more space is available in the actual hospital for future renovations and expansions. So while the name may be changing to Scheurer Health – Harbor Beach, the same set of beliefs, upbringing, technical knowhow and dedication to quality outcomes still hold true, some 106 years later.

Scheurer Primary Care – Port Hope with Danielle Brown, NP anchoring that location. After extensive construction in just the last ten years, the former Rapson Electric building was renovated to be the new home for Primary Care in Harbor Beach with Dr. Nicklaus Bradley and Dr. Laura Parks. Multiple specialties are also also available in that same building with Dr. David Hobbs, General Surgery, Dr. Edward Blanzy, Urology and Joseph Yacisen, DO in Orthopedics. A new hospital lobby was built just in the last handful of years, allowing a space for patients to feel the quality of care from the moment they walk through the door. Now, another phase of growth is on the horizon for Harbor Beach with major investment in every direction.
