and I am proud to have been part of that.” For Dr. Holmes, returning to her hometown felt natural as she felt right at home with Scheurer Health. “Location was always a big deal. I wanted to come back here to Huron County and, specifically, come to Scheurer. I know a lot of providers here, including my mom and they all really love their job. It is rewarding to see them excel in their field that they are passionate about.” Dr. Holmes said becoming a parent has given her an even greater appreciation for the families she works with. “I always remind myself that every patient I see is someone’s parent, child or sibling,” she said. “That mindset helps me approach every case with compassion.” Dr. Katelyn Holmes is seeing patients in the clinic at Scheurer Primary Care – Pigeon, as well as on the Acute Care floor. That dual setting allows her to provide continuity of care, something she values deeply. Dr. Elisabeth Milligan is seeing patients at our Bad Axe location of Scheurer Primary Care. While Dr. Milligan and Dr. Holmes each bring their own style and specialty to Scheurer Health, they share a sense of purpose that runs deeper than just their white coats.
