Our dedicated Cyclamen breeding team is constantly striving to introduce the best and most innovative varieties to the market. Leveraging our extensive gene pool, cutting- edge facilities, and advanced technology, we aim to deliver superior genetics to both growers and end consumers. Plant breeding is often described as a fusion of art and science. By combining traditional breeding knowledge with modern genetic technologies, true innovation emerges.
A particularly intriguing aspect of our breeding work involves enhancing heat tolerance in new varieties. Given that a significant portion of our Cyclamen is cultivated in regions with warm summers, and with the weather becoming increasingly extreme, we rigorously test our new lines and hybrids under these challenging conditions. Our primary goal is to breed new varieties that exhibit greater strength, resilience, and beauty in such environments. A great example is the improvement of the mini, silver- leaved series Silverado. The series now presents a more compact plant habit and uniformly striking silver-coloured leaves, perfect for autumn and winter blooming. In addition to that, the mid-size series Merita has now even more abundant flowering and is very suitable for landscaping.
