Research HIGHLIGHTS
Information Technology and Digital Library Services ITS staff continued to work across the Campus and University with stakeholders on various projects and platforms, including UWIScholar, and the Research Ethics application module. Additionally, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) was put in place for all staff requesting remote network access and to cloud services; Aleph 23 (the library management system) was made available remotely via VPN Lite, and a new user interface was designed and rolled out for the UWI Primo (UWIlinC) library resources discovery platform. A mobile view of this search engine was also established. The Digital Library Services Centre (DLSC) of the AJL continued to provide online access to research and scholarship materials produced by the UWI community and other indigenous content providers. This year, 288 images were digitised and uploaded to the UWISpace repository along with 65 posters from the 2020 National Medical Research Conference and 105 papers from the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Technology (IConETech) held from 1 to 5 June 2020.
writer, and documentary filmmaker, Ida Does, who studied with the artist, poet, playwright, and Nobel Laureate, Derek Walcott in Boston. The collection contains ephemera, articles and other documents about Walcott’s poetry and plays. Clarence Madhosingh ICTA Materials: Dr Madhosingh was a former student of ICTA (the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture) and received his Diploma in 1953. The collection contains anecdotes, photographs, and other memorabilia of ICTA life. Of particular importance are items with the two ICTA crests used at the time.

Books, Multimedia, E-Resources During the period under review the Library added 318 monographs, two video cassettes, 396 eBooks, and 111,464 eJournals to its collections.
