The UWI St Augustine Campus _ Annual Report 2021/2022

ANNUAL REPORT 2021/22

University Central Water Storage and Distribution System

There is need for a reliable and consistent water supply system on the Campus. WASA has advised that there should be a minimum three-day storage capacity to mitigate supply disruption and interruption of classes. This is a project that the Campus would like to see completed in the academic year 2022/2023. ICT Upgrade The Campus’s ICT Governance Committee undertook a comprehensive review of the Campus’s ICT infrastructure. They have highlighted priority issues which, by themselves or in combination with other control deficiencies, can seriously compromise the system of internal control, and/or could result in operational or technological failure, and have a significant adverse impact on the University’s financial statements or books of accounts, its key stakeholders and reputation, and should therefore be addressed. The Campus has identified the critical areas of weakness for attention in the coming academic year. General Maintenance Despite the challenges and work obstacles imposed by the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is of note here that the Division of Facilities Management at the Campus was still able to still satisfactorily complete 2,591 work orders.
