China, informs us that the Bolshevist contagion is fast spreading in the Flowery Kingdom. “ The Red Peril of China,” he says, “ is infinitely more serious than it was a year ago. A year hence, a communist China may become a real possibility.” Under any circumstances, a “ formid able” host indeed that will be which shall march under the Red banner—possibly the largest that ever assembled at a single reveille— the reveille o f Gog! “ B ehold , I A m A gainst T hee , O G og !” ( 3 8 :3). As we have seen before, there is an irreconcilable con flict between Gog and God. One or the other must perish from the earth. God long ago has decreed th&t Gog must go. Gog has just mapped out a program decreeing that God must go. For, understand, the new Soviet “ Five- Year Program” calls upon God to vacate all Russian do minions by 1937. But this is only a section of the com munistic program. Upon the success of the new “ Five- Year Program,” another will be announced giving God a time limit to get off the earth! The “ Five-Year Program” is a Russian program, ordering God out of Russia. Just beyond that (if God can restrain wrath from coming up into His nostrils [3 8 :18] so long as that!) will come a com munistic world, program— maybe a “ Seven-Year Program” [Dan. 9:27] ordering God off the earth He created. We are not running wild in our statements. Communism has a world program. It is now at work leavening the nations. What nation does not know ? The soul o f this new thing, “ Technocracy,” needs to be searched. Lord Brentford, at a nonpolitical meeting held in Albert Hall, London, Decem ber 19, 1929, warned the whole world o f the peril—a peril which has increased immeasurably since then. In that speech, he quoted the Bolsheviks as saying: Two worlds are clashing and pitting their strength against each other. The end of the religious campaign of the Soviet Government must not be confined to Russia, must be conducted throughout the whole world. A certain Roman dictator recently said before the Ital ian Parliament: I affirm that in Fascism there are principles o f life and universal character which cannot be stopped. , , . This principle is not confined to Italy, but exists for all other countries. . . . I warn the entire world. You know me as a man who does not speak, but acts. Then there is Another who has declared also that His principles cannot be confined alone to heaven, but are for “ the whole world,” and this “ Stone” proposes to crowd in and “ fill the whole earth” (Dan. 2 :35 ). The Communist cannot confine his principles to Russia. The Fascist cannot confine his principles to Italy. The “ Stone” cannot con fine His principles to heaven. It seems that the Commun ist, the Fascist, and the “ Stone” have very much the same program so far as filling the space allotted to man on this earth is concerned. Utter opposites* this three-cornered fight is going to be without quarter— yes, and interesting! Oh, it is great, even if almost terrifying, to be alive and witness this fight! W e all soon shall have to line up with the one or the other. W e choose the “ S tone ” L-.- But after all, the Bolshevik is right. “ Two worlds are clashing and pitting their strength against each other” ! There are just two worlds. Communist and Fascist actually belong to one world. They are against each other, and both against the “ Stone.” As we shall see, Communist and Fascist, Gog and “ the Beast” (Rev. 13:1), shall meet in the Cockpit north o f Jerusalem to settle their differences, and great shall be the fall o f— Gog! Then the “ Stone” shall fall upon the victor, and— Victor o f victors shall He be!

“And he spake to his disciples that a small ¡ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they throng him” (Mk.3:9).

^ D a y b y d a y the people pressed Him, A s H e moved among the throng, And H e o ft was worn and weary When His heaven-blessed tasks were, done. So H e sought, with His disciples, ■ A brief respite by the sea; But the Suffering folk besought Him, Crying,‘-Master, even me!” So H e climbed the rugged mountain Where so oft H e bowed in prayer, The disciples, seeking slumber, Felt that none would find them there. But behold, a shout o f triumph, “ Lo, the Healer! Come and see!” And the Master rose to meet them, Setting soul and body free. Then spake H e to H is disciples,. Humble fishers o f the sea, “ When the folk do throng and press Me, Hold a skip reserved fo r Me. Let it ever be in waiting, Sails unfurled, bow toward the sea, So that when thy Lord commandeth, Empty, cleansed, fo r use by Thee. When Thou sayest, “ Come, beloved, Launch out farther from the land,” May our hearts respond, “ Yea, Master, Launch we will, at Thy command.” On the bosom o f life’s ocean, Calmed by Him who stilled the sea, Let us seek repose and comfort', Let us listen tranquilly. Strengthened by His precious nearness, Soothed by that nail-pierced hand, May we lift anew life’s burdens When with Him we come to land. Quick to do His will ’ twill be.” Master, in the stress and turmoil O f the day’s activity, May we have a ship in waiting,
