Kick-off for a great event
It is with great excitement that we can announce the celebrity host, sponsored by ASM (UK) Ltd, for the BIFA Awards 2022 ceremony on 19 January 2023 as ex-England, Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle footballer and manager, the one and only Kevin Keegan OBE. Kevin Keegan was quite simply THE footballing superstar of the 1970s. With his famous ‘bubble’ perm, the Yorkshire-born striker was an icon both for Liverpool and England. The attention that came his way was not without merit, for Keegan was a dynamic attacking force who can take much of the credit for the trophies that arrived at Anfield between 1971 and 1977. From the moment he pulled on the Liverpool shirt in 1971 to his unexpected return to the game with Fulham, Kevin Keegan has been a pivotal influence on the way football is played, managed and perceived in Britain. Keegan’s glittering career included domestic and European success at Liverpool and SV Hamburg, European Footballer of the Year Awards, and glorious spells with Southampton and Newcastle United, returning to Newcastle as manager and then eventually managing England. We are sure that you will be eager to join us to welcome one of the true giants of English football to the BIFA Awards ceremony. Entry deadline This month sees the deadline for submission of entries to all 11 categories – do not miss out on the chance to enter the BIFA Awards 2022.
