Self-centered floor and anti-seismic

The self-centered structure was developed to facilitate installation and to guarantee the integrity and safety of the raised floor over time. S-Lock System consists of a steel pedestal glued on the ground with a self-centering gasket capable of lodge the overlying panels in the correct position. The S-Lock System can be also used with stringers, making it even more stable and applicable with installations that exceed 40 cm in height. The gasket is made with a new self-extinguishing polymer and designed to ensure a secure attachment to the panel, thus obtaining a locking effect throughout the entire floor and ensuring the alignment of the joints over time, while maintaining the advantages of the raised floor unaltered such as the accessibility to the plenum. Newfloor decided to carry out tests on a vibrating table at Eucenter, European Center for training and Research in Seismic Engineering based in Pavia (Italy). The test, carried out according to the ISO 13033:2013 standard, was divided into two load configurations in relation to the stresses to which a raised floor could be subjected during a seismic event. The results report specific data on the performance of the S-Lock System AS and determine increasing levels of seismicity based on the Italian context. Therefore, it is possible to state that S-Lock System AS resists at seismic events recordable on 50% of our national territory .
