The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) has opened the nomi- nations window for the 2025 Jean-Paul (J-P) St. Pierre Award. The award is giving to two UCPR residents each year, honouring them for their excep- tional contributions to the community, in many areas such as arts, culture, business, charitable work, health, education, public service, media, communications, sports, recreation, agriculture, the environment, or others. The award was created in memory Jean- Paul St. Pierre, who served as mayor of the Township of Russell, as well as warden of the UCPR Council. He passed away in 2014. He was a resident of the Village of Russell for more than 40 years and also held positions such as municipal councillor, trustee for the Police Village of Russell, BOEDIBJSPGUIF&BTUFSO0OUBSJP8BSEFOT Caucus. A 37-year-old Prescott man is facing multiple charges after a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 416 early on Sunday, July 27.
