According to City staff, this results in the following: Downtime at remote sites due to Power Outages. Electrical Spikes could damage network equipment. Cost of replacing damaged network equipment due to UPS failure. Aging UPS equipment can become a fire hazard. Recommendations: Replace UPS, 40% of 40 – 50 units. Assess the best approach for replacing the existing UPS. Install generators in facilities that do not have UPS. Benefits: Redundancy. Improved stability.
Peace of mind. Improved safety. Improved business continuity. Save money in hardware replacements.
