SPORT Spor ti ng achievements • Netball Our netball teams have enjoyed another outstanding year of compe titi on, with fi xtures played across the North West and beyond. From friendly matches to na ti onal fi nals, Queen’s girls have con ti nued to shine.
Our U15 netballers delivered a fantas ti c performance in the School Sport Mag compe titi on, ba tt ling through a high ‐ intensity and closely contested match that ended 32–30 in favour of St Monica’s. Individually, several of Queen’s girls have achieved some outstanding success this year. Daisy Holland Hewle tt , Sa fi yah Ja ff ri , and Lauren Dandy in Year 9 all earned well ‐ deserved honours at regional and na ti onal level. Daisy was selected for the Wales U15 Regional Academy Squad and, alongside Sa fi yah, helped NW Panthers win the Cheshire Junior Netball League Division 2 . The pair also competed with NW Panthers in the ENG U14 Netball Cup Northern Finals , helping secure a medal ‐ winning fi nish. Sa fi yah addi ti onally secured a place in the Loughborough Lightning U14 Training Squad . Lauren triumphed at the U14 Regionals with Kingsway Power, with her team now set to compete at the U14 England Na ti onals in She ffi eld. • Hockey
Our U9 teams have had great success in friendly matches against The King’s School and The Grange, with the girls also impressing at the U9 Netball Fes ti val, where they won four of their fi ve matches. Queen’s also hosted the U9 AJIS Bee Netball Tournament, with 14 schools and 130 players a tt ending, organised and umpired by our brilliant sports leaders. At U11 level, Queen’s were
Our hockey teams have enjoyed a season packed with progress, passion, and podium fi nishes — compe ti ng in local, regional and na ti onal tournaments. Our Year 4 team took part in the inaugural U9 AJIS Hockey Fes ti val , showing enthusiasm and skill development across the day. At U11 level, the team had a

crowned Chester Schools Netball Champions , going on to represent Chester in the School Games. The team also placed 2nd in the AJIS Plate and 3rd at the Cheshire County Finals . Our U12 teams competed strongly in the Chester & District Tournament . The U12B team came away tournament winners, while the U12C drew with The King’s School in their fi nal match. U13 netballers performed brilliantly throughout the season. They reached round two of the Sisters n Sport Cup with a last ‐ second 14–13 win over Alderley Edge, thanks to a winning goal from Tiamii Roberts . They also claimed victory in the School Sport Mag round two fi xture against Merchant Taylors, winning 23–15. At the Chester & District Cup , they fi nished 4th. Our U14 team have made Queen’s history this year with their success in mul ti ple compe titi ons. They were crowned Chester & District Tournament champions, Cheshire County champions, and quali fi ed for the England Netball Na ti onal Finals for the fi rst ti me in school history. They also reached the fi nal four of the Sisters n Sport Na ti onal Cup — the furthest any Queen’s team has ever progressed in the compe titi on — and placed 5th na ti onally at the England Netball Finals in She ffi eld. Players also competed in the Na ti onal Schools Quali fi ers , Packwood Invita ti onal , and regional rounds.
