Our Year 7 hockey players demonstrated great teamwork and progress, with our U12 team fi nishing 2nd at the Chester & District compe titi on and 3rd at the Cheshire County Finals . Their teamwork, commitment, and progress were clear to see. Our U14s demonstrated strength and consistency this season, conceding just one goal at the Chester & District tournament and producing a standout 7–0 win in a friendly match against Birkenhead School. The 1st XI have had an excep ti onal season, crowned Cheshire Cup and Cheshire Indoor Hockey champions. They advanced to Round 4 of both the ISHC and England Hockey Na ti onal Championships , narrowly missing out on a Quarter Final spot. Individually, several Queen’s girls have earned impressive accolades this year. Minnie Wildes in Year 8 was selected for the U16 Timperley Talent Academy and became the youngest ever recipient of Chester Hockey Club’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. Clemence Ba tt in Year 9 secured a silver medal at the U15 Hoci Wales County Championships , represen ti ng North East Wales, while Harriet Old fi eld in Year 6 was named Coach’s Player of the Year for the U12s at Northop Hall Hockey Club in recogni ti on of her commitment and progress on the pitch. • Football Our footballers have enjoyed a strong season of compe titi on and development across mul ti ple year groups, taking part in friendly fi xtures against schools such as Catholic High School and Tarporley High School, and showing impressive teamwork and resilience throughout. Our U13 and U14 team showcased their skills at the Cheshire & District Tournament , with the U13s also progressing to the Cheshire Cup Quarter Finals , narrowly missing out on a semi ‐ fi nal place a ft er a 4–3 loss on penal ti es. Meanwhile, our U16 footballers demonstrated excellent skill and determina ti on at the Chester & District compe titi on , with strong defensive play, sharp a tt acking moves, and cohesive teamwork. • Swimming Our Year 6 relay team delivered a superb performance at the ESSA North West Region Relay Championships , earning a well ‐ deserved place in the Na ti onal Relay Championships in She ffi eld. Individually, Queen’s swimmers have excelled at regional and na ti onal level. Amber Nash in Year 6 earned three golds, one silver, and one bronze at the Ponds Forge Interna ti onal Gala and gained valuable experience by par ti cipa ti ng in Adam Peaty’s Race Clinic. Amber also made it to the Na ti onal Welsh Swim Rankings for Summer 2025, achieving silver medals for Wales in the 50m bu tt er fl y, 100m bu tt er fl y, 200m individual medley, and the 100m backstroke. Their determina ti on and energy shone through, with standout results including 1st in the javelin for Anabelle Lipscombe , 3rd for Lo tti e Hollingsworth , 2nd in the 200m for Rosie Broome , and silver medals in both the Year 4 and Year 6 relays. A superb showcase of girl ‐ powered sport! Our Year 6 athle ti cs team also impressed at the Chester School Indoor Athle ti cs compe titi on, showing great teamwork to win the Girls Division — a fantas ti c collec ti ve achievement. Meanwhile, our U13 team gave their all at the Chester and District compe titi on , delivering strong performances in every event. Rosie con ti nued her success by earning a silver medal at the County Athle ti cs Championships in Ellesmere Port, se tti ng a personal best in the shot put — all while compe ti ng against older athletes in the U13 category.
